The Western Dream

Here's the movie Laura and I worked on, the first major motion picture. It is full of cheese & bad editing, I like to think of it as the practice film for the next big venture. The new movie will hopefully be shot digitally (so we can do some funky editing) and will have even more wonderfull acting from all the scary children. Below is the "premise" that I submitted to my prof. The movie will probably be pretty confusing without reading it first.

Hope you get some laughs out of this!

Premise

A student falls asleep watching a western movie and/or reading one of our history textbooks. These images collide in her dream world and thus in her dream she is watching TV but all the programs are westernised, dealing with historical situations but in the modern TV setting. These programs inevitably deal with the wide range of views that the student has been bombarded with in the textbook, including Native Americans, frontier women and men, and those in the midst of the long journey. The scenes should merge like flips between channels, a brief glimpse of a certain view-point, contrasted with other varying glimpses.
